Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS)
Description
Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) is a widely used engineering thermoplastic known for its excellent balance of toughness, rigidity, and impact resistance. It is one of the most popular plastics in consumer products, automotive parts, electronics housings, and household goods. ABS is easy to process, offers good surface finish, and can be molded into complex shapes with consistent quality. It combines the strength and chemical resistance of acrylonitrile, the toughness of butadiene, and the rigidity of styrene. Because of this combination, ABS is commonly used in applications that require durability, aesthetic appearance, and reliable performance at a reasonable cost.
